Scaffold Safety Awareness

Introduction

On completion delegates will have an understanding of traditional scaffolding including safety requirements and fault identification and principles of:

* Work at Height Regulations 2005
* Employer / employee responsibilities
* Hazards associated with use of scaffold
* Control measures to reduce / eliminate the hazards

Aims

* Provides a good induction for the work environment
* Increased knowledge
* Sharing of ‘Best Practice’
* One to One tutor opportunity

The Course includes:

* Legislation
* Safe working standards for employees
* Causes of accidents
* Scaffolding structure types
* Scaffolding components
* Safe use of ladders and stagings
* Safe use of mobile towers
* Rules governing alterations to scaffold structure
* Loading out procedures
* Inspection of Scaffold
* Scafftag system
* Scaffold Appreciation

Delegates will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.
