Mining Technical Services Manager position available (in Africa)

Back in August we advertised a senior engineering position for anyone willing to go and work in Brisbane, Australia. The pay was excellent with the salary band being US$215-230K plus full relocation assistance and visa sponsorship.

Now we have some more jobs to tell you about courtesy of Paul Feeney of Sanford Rose Associates. He is conducting a search for a Technical Services Manager to work in Botswana, Africa.

The role would be supporting open pit mine planning, site inspections, project management, estimation and supervising a small team of professionals. He would prefer someone who has had exposure to some of the larger mining software packages and the role would be for a three year expatriate posting, then to transfer to another country within the company and the position should pay around US$225-250K.

Botswana's economy has had very consistent growth rates and really transformed themselves very well and is one of the best performing countries on the continent.

The typical career progression from this role would be towards more technical or operational, depending on the person's preference. Should you or someone you know could have an interest, please get in touch with Paul directly.
