Break an unbreakable sledgehammer, get $1,000

The sledgehammer you see in the video above is marketed as being unbreakable. It's designed by Wilton Tools, and replaces the typically wooden or fibreglass handle with a new design. It's a combination of steel rods and a rubber grip casing, with a steel safety plate on the top. What you end up with is the B.A.S.H unbreakable sledgehammer.

It's so hardwearing Wilton will pay you $1,000 if you manage to break it within two years of purchase. That's some promise considering what a sledgehammer can be put through on a daily basis. But then again, if it doesn't break, it's a hammer you want being used by your crew.

If you want to know more about how it was designed, head on over to Fast.co where they have a detailed article on the thinking behind it.
