Nestle's largest worldwide construction project happening in Derby

We like to cover a bit of construction now and again on D&D, and although we do like our tea, the odd cup of coffee can perk us up, too. So it's great to hear that Nestle has invested £200 million in order to expand its UK coffee operations in Derby.

O’Brien Contractors has been awarded a sub-contract for the new build, which will see the company deliver substructures, foundations, drainage, storm water management systems, formation of access roads, ground remediation, foul and storm drainage, landscaping, service yards, floors and dock levellers on the site.

The expansion is Nestle's biggest construction project worldwide, and will see all its coffee production, including freeze dried, spray dried and pod technology, carried out at the Tutbury site in Derby.
