Man dies on M25 after falling from cherry-picker

Yesterday, a man died after falling on to the M25 from a cherry picker.

The platform was being used in a yard that is located alongside the M25 in Buckinghamshire near junction 15. It looks as though the articulated boom lift toppled over and the man fell out as it did so. It was around 40 meters in the air, meaning any fall would be deadly.

What's unusual is the fact the equipment used has a very good safety record. Two HSE representatives attended the scene and the lift's manufacturer Terex Aerial Work Platforms has sent out technical experts to help figure out what happened.
