Asbestos Removal Management Institute launches in the UK
There is an ongoing need for trained professionals working in the asbestos removal industry, and now they have a brand new institute dedicated to them. It is called the Asbestos Removal Management Institute, or ARMI for short, and you can visit their website at http://www.armi.org.uk/.
As the website explains:
"ARMI has been established as the professional body to recognise and promote effective leadership and management within the asbestos removal management industry. Members of ARMI are recognised as professionals within the asbestos removal management industry and can demonstrate this by the use of letters after their name. ARMI is a joint venture between the 3 main trade associations representing HSE licensed asbestos removal contractors, ARCA, ACAD and the NFDC."
Gaining membership requires an individual hold a recognised qualification in asbestos management and leadership and management. A professional interview will also be required to satisfy ARMI before membership is allowed.
