Erith wins big at the World Demolition Awards

The World Demolition Awards saw record attendance this year, with over 400 delegates making the journey to the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London.

There were many winners on the night, with Coleman Group winning the Civils Demolition award, Priestly Demolition winning Contract under US$1 million and Recycling/Environmental awards, and Berg Corporation winning the Urban Demolition award.

KHL has the full list of winners on its website, but it's Erith who had the best night. The company won in the Industrial, Contract over US$1 million and Safety/Training categories, as well as winning the overall World Demolition Award as the “best of the best” according to the eight-strong international panel of judges.

Well done to all the winners!

Finally there was Terry Madden of Erith. He spoke about the demolition, façade retention, and enabling works package for the Cross Rail Eastern Ticket Hall OSD Bond Street and Hanover Square redevelopment.

The next South East Regional Meeting will be held in August or September. 37 attended the May 4th event, hopefully the numbers for the next one will be even higher.
