Berlin Demolition Conference Details announced

Back in 2012 we reported that John and Hardy Worsey of HDi had been asked to repeat their Demolition Summit presentation at the German Demolition Association Conference in Berlin on 15 March 2013.

John Woodward to speak at World Demolition Summit in Amsterdam

Following presentations in 2010 and 2011, John will be making a repeat visit to Amsterdam in November to speak at the World Demolition Summit.

This time around John will be sharing the platform with Hardy Worsey of HDI to discuss how HDI cut up the MS Jolly Amarantto outside the Port of Alexandria. C&D were involved in preparing the safety case and method statements for HDI on this challenging project.

The World Demolition Summit is now in its 4th year and this year counts 246 delegates, 95 companies, and 17 countries represented as part of the attendance. The Summit and subsequent Awards will take place on November 1st in the NH Grand Hotel, Amsterdam.

Heavy Decom International launch largest heavyweight demolition machine

Heavy Decom International Ltd. has announced it is to launch the largest heavyweight demolition machine in the UK.

HDI explain:

"The machine has been custom-built and is manufactured to specifically undertake heavy demolition and decommissioning projects using non-percussive methods. The device will be capable of carrying the latest in hydraulic tools weighing up to 15 tonnes, while working at heights in excess of 30 metres. This has previously been unseen in the UK."

HDI want this machine to be available around the world, so have designed it to be transportable in containers.

It should be in the UK before the end of 2010, but still has a number of pre-production tests to go through.
