C&D shortlisted for two jobs in World Demolition Awards

Here at C&D we are very proud to have been shortlisted for a job in the Collaboration Award category of the World Demolition Awards, but this week we discovered even better news. We aren't just listed for one job, we're actually listed for two!

Here's the most up-to-date shortlist for the category:

Collaboration Award

• Erith Contractors/Institute of Demolition Engineers/National Federation of Demolition Contractors/Passion Project, UK

• Safedem/C&D Consultancy/Dem-Master/New Gorbals Housing Association, UK

As you can see, we're listed for collaborations with Safedem and Dem-Master as well as with J Bryan Victoria, One Vision Housing, and Technical Demolition Services.

We can't wait for the awards to swing round this year now!

The World Demolition Awards will only have one Scottish contender: Safedem

You may remember back in September that we happily reported on C&D being shortlisted for an award at the World Demolition Awards in the category of "Collaboration in Demolition." It was due to our work with Safedem & DESPE at Whitevale & Bluevale Towers in Gallowgate, Glasgow.

Well, it turns out that the Dundee-based Safedem is the only Scottish contender at the awards. This has been highlighted by the Scottish Plant website, which also points out that the awards are "dominated by UK firms."

I'm sure Safedem will represent Scotland well, and could walk away with the prize on Friday!
