Bulletin: How Drugs are Handled by The Body

A SureScreen Diagnostics bulletin regarding how drugs are handled by the body has passed across the desks of C&D, and it's a bulletin worth sharing.

Although a little science-heavy, the 4-page bulletin offers good insight into how drugs can impact the body in different ways, including how long their affect lasts.

"You can't just hit a building with big hammer"

It's always nice to see quotes made by C&D professionals appearing on other websites, and John managed to get a classic quote used on the Elder Demolition website earlier this year.

In an article entitled "There is an Art to the Science of Industrial Demolition," John was quoted as saying "Anyone who thinks they can just hit a building with a big hammer and it falls down is misled.”

SmartLab Toys to launch Demolition Lab science toy

SmartLab Toys is set to introduce a new toy for budding demolition experts this year. It's called the Demolition Lab: Triple Blast Warehouse and should give children (and adults) a good grounding in how explosive demolition works.

Here's a description of the Demolition Lab:

"Ka-boom! With the mind-blowing Demolition Lab, kids can construct unlimited warehouse-type buildings using over 100 walls, spires, beams, panels and more. Then, they'll try to demolish these monumental structures with strategically placed blasters—all while getting inside the science of power, force, momentum and gravity!"

The main kit will be available this Autumn for $39.99 (£25) and is suitable for anyone 8 years old and up. There will also be two add-on packs made available called Demolition Lab: Breakdown Building and Demolition Lab: Mega Smokestacks. In both cases the packs will cost $19.99 (£13) each.

John Woodward interview in The Independent
