The IDE is heralding this year’s AGM and Annual Luncheon as an amazing success – bringing together a mixture of guests from across the Demolition Industry and raising an astounding amount for the Teenage Cancer Trust, thanks to the generosity of our members and their family and friends.

Duncan Rudall receives letter of thanks from the Teenage Cancer Trust

As you know, the demolition industry is full of companies and organisations doing their bit for charity, and the IDE is no exception. Current IDE President Duncan Rudall received the letter you see below from the Teenage Cancer Trust following a donation of £2,500.

Duncan decided to select the Teenage Cancer Trust as worthy of supporting after Stephen Sutton spoke at an IDE Seminar in February 2014.

Teenage Cancer Trust receives first donation from the IDE

Nicola Irvine, Regional Fundraiser South East for the Teenage Cancer Trust was invited to City Temple last month where Duncan Rudall, current IDE President, handed her a cheque for £2,500.

The money goes towards supporting teenagers with cancer through expert care and support. They don't have to face cancer on their own, but the charity needs ongoing donations to ensure their good work can continue. The IDE donation helps, and it won't be the last with future fundraising events already being planned within the organisation.

Teenage Cancer Trust sends IDE Members a thank you letter

As you all know, the very brave and terminally ill young man by the name of Stephen Sutton has passed away. But his memory will live on due to how he presented himself to the public in the final months of his life. One of those public appearances involved speaking to over 200 demolition men back in February.

His aim was to raise £500,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, but he blasted through that total and ended up reaching £3.5 million. IDE Members did their part to help reach that total, with a cheque for £1,079.42 being sent to the charity. They have since written back with a thank you letter, which you can read online.

Thanks to everyone who donated, and if you do have money to give, please consider the Teenage Cancer Trust.

C&D Golf Day at The Astbury is almost a sell out

We are delighted that the 2014 C&D Golf Day is looking like a sell out, but we do still have two or three places available if you are a golfer and want to play one of the best courses in the UK.

The event is on Wednesday 4th June and tickets are a bargain £50.00 to include a bacon roll, 18 holes of golf, and lunch.

A proportion of the proceeds will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust via the Justgiving page of Stephen Sutton.

If you are unable to attend the event, but would like to support it, you can do so by sponsoring one of the prizes on the day or sponsoring a hole.

Please contact craig@demolishdismantle.co.uk to book tickets for or to sponsor the event. Teenage Cancer Trust will be delighted if you can help.
