Report on IDE Regional Meeting & NFDC Working Wednesday on 10/11/2020

The IDE Midlands Regional Meeting & NFDC Working Wednesday, sponsored by Melvyn Cross AMIDE of Total Reclaims, was held on the evening of 10/11/2010 at Old Sillhillians Rugby Club.

The evening was hosted by John Woodward and was a success with 14 IDE members and guests attending the event to listen to presentations from Mike Ford of HSE Birmingham, who gave an insight into what happens when an HSE Inspector calls to site and HSE campaigns for 2011, and Alan Matchett of Sandvik whose presentation on reducing breaker running costs led to lively debate. The evening ended with drinks from the bar and a curry for all present.

It was particularly pleasing that the National Secretary Valerie Stroud was able to attend the evening having been in the Midlands all day to agree the 2011 Golf Day arrangements with John and to attend the NFDC Midlands & Welsh Christmas lunch.

The IDE and NFDC would like to thank Melvyn Cross for sponsoring the event.
