ATaC Nationwide Roadshow

ATaC and the HSE have joined forces to put together a roadshow that will travel to a number of different venues in the coming months. From the booking form:

The first of these events will be held in London on January 28th 2009 with further events in Southampton and the Midlands (March, April, May) and concludes in Leeds and Edinburgh in May and June. Greg Haywood, ALG, tabled the 10 Point Plan as a means of increasing awareness and compliance with asbestos regulation and best practice. ATaC is working in close partnership with HSE to help promote this message and have thus teamed up with our sponsors, Howden, to perform the roadshows.

The target audience is primarily Duty Holders such as; owner/occupiers, developers, Housing Associations, LA's and members of organisations such as APS, BIFM, RICS and construction companies. Regulation 4, the Duty to Manage, is a good regulation and, as identified in the plan, needs to be promoted further to explain and highlight the responsibilities, competency requirements and management options.


The roadshows include a number of well-known industry guest speakers and tickets cost £125+VAT for ATAC/BIFM/APS/RICS members, or £150+VAT for non members. Members can also get tickets for the first show on the 28th January for £75 if they act now.
