"Butt Ugly" building gets demolished

It's not often you hear derelict buildings get given names by local residence, but people in Hartford, Conneticut have named the structure in the video above the "Butt Ugly" building.

As many of you work in the demolition industry this type of building is probably quite a common site. But it's the first thing you see as you come over a hill in Hartford, and is in the middle of the city, so residence hate it. It doesn't help that it's on open land with nothing to hide it too.

The building is now being demolished to make way for re-development across a 100-acre site. Lets hope the building that replaces it is more to residence's liking. However, the news report suggests it might end up being just a grassy knoll.
