UKAS on board with asbestos awareness survey
The United Kingdom Accredition Service (UKAS) has jointly launched a new survey with asbestos campaigners in the UK. It's officially called the Great British Asbestos in Buildings Survey 2011.
The aim of the survey is to gauge awareness and understanding of the regulations surrounding asbestos in the workplace. Promotion will take place across trade associations and unions, as well as industry institutions. Basically, everyone who works in the building trade should be made aware of, and take part in this survey.
We hope that it not only raises awareness, but also highlights areas where improvements can be made both in education and best practices.
