Below is an email sent out by the Institute of Demolition Engineers highlighting a one day conference being held on 14th December. Any companies interested in helping to rebuild Libya would do well to attend.
Now that the situation on the ground in Libya is beginning to improve, the major task of rebuilding the country can start. For British companies, this represents a real opportunity.
Companies first need to have a good understanding of what the opportunities are and how they should position themselves in order to have the best chance of winning contracts. To meet this need, City & Financial, supported by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), is organising Rebuilding Libya: Opportunities for British Business; a one day conference in Central London on 14th December 2011. It is important to note that this conference will be held after the new Libyan interim Government is due to be formed.
The objectives of this event are: to provide details about the opportunities that are available to UK companies in the reconstruction of Libya; to provide a networking forum in which you can form business relationships with the other UK companies that are likely to be at the forefront in tendering for major contracts; to assist you in linking up with some leading foreign companies that are also likely to be bidding for major projects in Libya; and to ensure that you receive an overview of the potential challenges you face in doing business in Libya.
On booking IDE member's are given a 10% discount.
More information is available on the IDE's website in the Events section. Please contact nnoakes@cityandfinancial.com for further information.
