Dundee Train Station to be demolished
Dundee's train station looks set to come up for demolition in the very near future. The station's building has been earmarked for redevelopment, which would require the old building be removed.
The new building has already been designed by local architects Nicoll Russell Studios, and will be a 5-storey crescent-shaped landmark. The most important thing is to create a building that looks a lot more inviting to someone getting off the train. With that in mind, Network Rail has pledged £2 million towards the costs of the project.
The final hurdle is a council vote on April 23rd. If that is successful then expect the tender for the current station's demolition to appear shortly afterwards.
