Coleman & Company of Shady Lane, Great Barr, Birmingham have continued with the demolition of the Dunston Rocket at Gateshead and are now nearing the end of the main demolition works.
C&D have been undertaking site audits on the project during both the “top down” demolition section and the current super high reach demolition works.
The contract saw Coleman & Company demolish the towers by use of top down techniques to remove the top floors of the tower and then change to high reach machines to complete the works.
The photo shows the super high reach machine working it’s way down to ground level.
