IDE announce President's Fishing Day for 2012

Regular readers of this site will know that IDE President John Woodward tends to use what little leisure time he has sitting next to a lake and trying to get large carp to take a bait. John wanted, during his Presidency, to hold fishing days as well as the very successful IDE Golf Days and he managed to do so in 2011 and again now in 2012.

This year's event will be on Wednesday 3rd October at Furnace Mill Fishery at Bewdley in Worcestershire.

The fishery has been featured many times on Matt Hayes fishing programmes on Sky and the fishery owners Ed and Jane Brown are well known in the fishing fraternity for the quality of the venue. Details can be found at www.furnacemill.net and in the following videos:

The day will begin with a full English breakfast at 8.30 with draw for pegs at 9.00. The match will commence at 10.00 and will finish at 15.30 with weighing of fish by Ed and Jane.Following the weigh in a buffet will be served at the clubhouse and prizes distributed.

We are pleased to announce that DemolitionNews will be one of the companies sponsoring the event and they will present the "Demolition News Trophy" to the winner of the contest. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the contest and a special prize is on offer for the heaviest fish caught on the day.

Full details and a booking form can be found at www.ide.org.uk and I would urge you to book quickly as at the price of £40.00 a ticket they will sell out fast and a maximum of 30 anglers can take part.
