Presentation: A Practical Approach to Rock Fall Management

A technical evening is being held on November 27th by Simon Collins, entitled A Practical Approach to Rock Fall Management.

imon Collins has over 30 years experience in the extractives industries in the UK, Europe, and North America. He is now a Geological Manager and Geo-technical Specialist for Aggregate Industries.

His presentation is about a Rock Fall Hazard Appraisal System (RHAS) used within AI which is a practical, simple system that can be used by non-geological personnel that can accurately quantify the hazard from rock fall in quarries.

This is an area that the HSE is still concerned about and this talk will surely provide food for thought for all members with an interest in geo-technical management.

The presentation will begin at 6:30pm at The Village Hotel, Tempus Drive, Tempus Ten, Walsall, WS2 8TJ.

Refreshments will be provided before the meeting and CPD hours are applicable.
