Baggeridge Brickworks due for demolition
According to the Express & Star newspaper, Weinerberger brick have announced that they have applied, along with David Wilson Homes, for planning permission to demolish a number of production buildings at the former Baggeridge Brickworks near Dudley, West Midlands.
The Government gave the green light to the scheme last month and the application will go before Dudley Council in the summer of 2013. The planned development will see 140 homes, a craft workshop and a 60 bed nursing home built on the site with a new access road from the A463.
Planning Manager for David Wilson Homes, Jon Rowson, told the Express & Star:
"With outline planning consent for a residential and mixed use scheme being granted on the site at the end of last year, a seperate application by the landowner, Weinerberger, has been submitted for the demolition of the existing buildings."
