St George West London Ltd Construction Manager Sean Chappell is on his bike!

Sean Chappell, Senior Construction Manager at St George West London Limited, has managed to generate 172 percent of the funds he set out to raise by taking part in RideLondon 100.

Sean's initial goal was to raise £750 for his designated charity Shelter, which works to alleviate the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing. In the end though, his total came to £1,295.

Raising that amount of money didn't come without effort, though. Sean had to keep the pedals turning for about 7 hours, and on a Sunday morning no less!

Sean has this message for any budding cyclists out there:

If you own a bike and fancy taking part in next years event or something similar, give it a go and sign up. There are events across the country to suite all skill and fitness levels and it can either be a personal challenge or a way of raising awareness and much needed funds for worthy causes.

If you don’t own a bike borrow one and give it a try, you’ll probably enjoy it. There are many benefits including environmental, your own health and wellbeing as well as joining an ever growing community of cyclists.

Even though RideLondon 100 is over, you can still donate through Sean's JustGiving page.
