Wolves pub The Wanderer could be demolished before the end of 2014

The Wanderer pub, formerly The Fox, located in Molinuex Street, Wolverhampton may now be demolished before the end of the year.

The pub used to be a regular haunt for Wolves fans, but last year it was closed after a mystery buyer purchased it. That turned out to be Wolves football club, who's intention it is to demolish the building and open up more parking for the nearby stadium.

Locals are not impressed, with Ian Stringer, chairman of the Wolverhampton branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra), making the point that the pub should be a viable business.

2,300 fans have signed a petition asking for the pub to be saved, but it has yet to be handed to Wolverhampton Council.
