Demolition Awards 2014 to be held March 21st, here's the shortlist

The NFDC has announced that the Demolition Awards 2014 will be held on March 21st at The Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane following the Annual General Meeting. The guest host this year will be former England Rugby Union player Martin Bayfield.

With the date fast approaching, there's still time to nominate a candidate in this year's revised and expanded categories. Those categories include:

• Demolition Operative of the Year
• Demolition Plant Operative of the Year
• Demolition Manager of the Year
• Demolition Achievement Award
• Demolition Training Award
• Demolition Innovation Award - Corporate
• Demolition Innovation Award - ISP

To cast your vote, head on over to the NFDC website and fill in the relevant form. You can also download the booking form from that link if you wish to attend the awards next month.

IDE decide to publish the AGM minutes on the website for the first time ever

Traditionally the IDE AGM minutes are distributed immediately before the following year's AGM, but this year the IDE Council of Management decided to publish the minutes as soon as they were available from National Secretary Maureen Tong-Ralphs and they are now on the website for download.
