Worsley Plant welcomes Brian Carroll to their team

We have received the following press release from Worsley Plant welcoming Brian Carroll to their team. Full details below:

Worsley Plant are delighted to welcome Brian Carroll to our team. Brian brings with him a wealth of experience gained across the various engineering roles he has held since starting his career as an Apprentice Toolmaker in Essex. His most recent role as General Manager at Kocurek Excavators in Ipswich made him the ideal candidate to help Worsley Plant grow their presence in the demolition, construction and recycling markets in the South of the UK.

Starting in September, Brian’s role, as General Manager Southern, will involve setting up a new facility to feed London and the south of England, and he will be responsible for running this facility and the new team. He will also be heavily involved in generating sales in this area.

Brian’s experience and reputation within the industry meant that a number of opportunities presented themselves to him when he left Kocurek Excavators at the end of May this year. Fortunately, Sean at Worsley Plant sparked Brian’s interest with a proposal to join the company.

Brian says: “I travelled up to the offices and spent the afternoon with Sean, whereby he sold the company to me. I was also very impressed with how I saw the company being run and the team ethic was clear straight away.

I am very excited about the role and the opportunity. I am looking forward to setting it up, generating sales and being part of the Worsley team. I truly believe that the potential is huge and that if we can be successful in London then it will be massive for Worsley Plant.

Sean Heron, MD of Worsley Plant says: “I’ve made no secret of the fact that I respect Brian and the work that he does. I was keen to get him to join the team. We had intended to open a facility in London next year but securing Brian as a team member has bought that forward in our plans as he is available now, and is the right man for the job.”

Brian adds: “When someone is prepared to do this, and thinks highly of you, as Sean does, then for me, it was an easy decision to accept the offer, and it is now up to me to work hard and to repay that faith.”

We look forward to Brian joining us and being instrumental in growing our business in London and the South.

All change at Kocurek

We have been sent the following press release from KOCUREK that is self explanatory:

Kocurek Excavators announces the departure of Brian Carroll.

It is with regret that we have to announce that Brian Carroll (General Manager) is leaving the company on 29th May 2015, to embark on a new chapter of his career and a change of direction.

Brian, who joined Kocurek Excavators in 2007, is leaving to pursue the new challenge and the board of directors of Kocurek Excavators wishes him well in the next stage of his career.

It goes without saying that we value his contribution to the growth of the business over the last 8 years which has seen us become World leaders in specialist demolition specification machines.

The company will continue to prosper and we will be announcing new appointments as and when they are made.

There will be no further statements forthcoming.
