IDE Scottish regional meeting is fast approaching

The next IDE Scottish Regional meeting will take place on Friday evening August 30th at the Holiday Inn Express, Britannia Way, Ocean Drive, Leith, EH6 6JJ and will follow on from the IDE Scottish exam prep day at the same venue earlier that day.

The speakers include NFDC CEO Howard Button on the new DRIDS and former HSE Edinburgh chief Jim Skilling, IDE Past President John Woodward and demolition industry legend Dr. Terry Quarmby

The meeting and the prep day have been sponsored by Forth Demolition Limited and is open to non-IDE members also.

Institute of Construction Management launch corporate membership scheme

Following many requests from suppliers to the construction industry the Institute of Construction Management have launched a new scheme of corporate membership which allows businesses to support the Institute, attend all regional meetings to present their products and to attend the annual AGM.

The scheme will work on various levels with initial membership from as little as £100.00 per annum if regional rather than national membership is required. The annual Demolition Day held by the National Federation of Demolition Contractors is the premier event for networking and finding out about current issues affecting the demolition industry. This year more than 250 delegates attended to hear the presentations at Sandown’s conference facility.
