C&D Customer City Demolition (Birmingham) Limited produce a great new video

Here at C&D we love videos to do with demolition of any sort so we were pleased to see today that one of our customers in Birmingham, City Demolition, have produced a new corporate video showing their team in action on a number of sites around the city.

The video shows them at work, carrying out site inductions, removing asbestos and recycling arisings.

Roland O'Connor MIDE

We are delighted to announce that Roland O'Connor, well known to many C&D customers, is now a Full member of The Institute of Demolition Engineers following his succesful professional interview in Leeds.

Roland is mainly known to C&D customers for the work carried out in the training room and the site audit fields of the business, but he has, for the last 5 years, been involved in many demolition projects throughout the UK for Erith, City Demolition, Liston Group, GHA and others, and he has produced H&S plans, method statements, and plans of work for many varied projects.

The IDE professional interview was daunting for Roland as he had to face questions from President Steve Jack FIDE, Vice President Duncan Rudall FIDE, and Dave Darsey FIDE about his portfolio prepared from his work over the last 2 years.

Training orders renewed for C&D Consultancy

We are delighted to announce that C&D have had training orders renewed by a number of our regular clients over the last 24 hours. Our recent decisions to revamp a number of our courses have proved to be correct with another flood of orders to the office during yesterday.

The new orders include:-

• 1000 hours of training for EDS on the new C&D Hot Works course.
• 1000 hours of training for EDS on Work at Height and Rescue Plans.
• 100 hours for City Demolition (Birmingham) Limited for Demolition & Asbestos Awareness.
• 60 hours for City Demolition (Birmingham) Limited for Manual Handling.
• 100 hours for Frank O’Gara and Sons for Asbestos Awareness & Manual Handling.
• 1000 hours for Total Reclaims Limited for Demolition & Asbestos Awareness. 200 hours for CMR Demolition Limited for structural awareness.
• 100 hours for various clients on the new open to all recently launched C&D Behaviour and Stress Management course.

The courses will be delivered by the C&D training team between now and the end of March in venues around the country.

Further training orders for C&D Consultancy

We are pleased to announce that C&D training division have been awarded further training orders from City Demolition (Birmingham) Limited, Coleman & Company, Armac Group and Lee Demolition.

The courses will be delivered by C&D trainers John Woodward, Roland O'Connor, Chris Williams and Duncan Rudall over the next three to four weeks.

The orders take the total days demolition specific training delivered by the C&D team over the last three months to over 200 days.

City Demolition Contractors (Birmingham) Limited renew training contract with C&D

C&D have secured the renewal of the training contract with City Demolition for the fourth year running and will now be supplying specialist demolition training to all employees of the company, commencing with a company training day in early January 2011.

C&D customer employee wins kick boxing world title

City Demolition (Birmingham) Ltd employee Steve Hooper has won the world title in his class of full contact kick boxing at Isis Nightclub, Nottingham.

City Demolition win safety award for 2nd year running
