Final details of the September 21st Golf Day

C&D is sponsoring a Golf Day being held at the prestigious Astbury Hall on Wednesday, 21st September.

The itinerary for the day is as follows:

10am: Champagne Reception / Bacon Rolls / Tea and Coffee – Goody bag collection!

12 noon: Shotgun Start (Starting holes to be allocated)

4.30pm: Drinks in the bar and on the terrace

6.15pm: 2 course dinner of Beef followed by a trio of deserts.

7.15pm: Comedian – Jonny Cole

8pm: Prize giving – Teams First / Second / Third – Longest Drive – Nearest the Pin – Most Individual Points – Pink Ball Competition

8.15pm: Q and A with the former Wolves / Derby County legends on the day. (Steve Daley / Don Goodman / Mel Eves / Roger Davies / Roy Macfarland / Michael Johnson / Phil Parkes)

10pm: Carriages

FREE BEER will be given out on the course all day and the only fundraisers we will be doing will be Heads and Tails and a raffle, with NO main auction!

Please note there are only 11 buggies available on a first come first served basis at £25 each. Jason requests that everyone wear pink if they can and gift donations for the raffle prizes will be welcomed.

To date just under £100,000 has been raised for Breast Cancer Now since May 2013 and our Golf Days are an important part of our fundraising so we are expecting this to sell out quickly …please note we have been limited to 25 teams this year and allocation is on a first served basis so prompt reservation will be required!!

John Woodward to speak at First4Staff networking event

First4Staff is holding its final networking event of 2014 next Tuesday, 9th December and our very own John Woodward will be guest speaker.

The event is being held at Bravaccios, which is located in Wolverhampton at the following address:

‘Steps To Work’ have kindly offered to donate over £100 worth of raffle prizes for charity to be split equally between the ‘Steve Bull Foundation’ and ‘Breakthrough Breast Cancer’. As well as John's talk there will be a Turkey themed dinner on offer to get you in the mood for Christmas!!

C&D Golf Day 2015 announced

As demolition diaries tend to fill quicker than the Wolves ground on a home match, we thought it best to advise readers of the date of our Golf Day for 2015 as soon as we had it, so here it is:- Thursday, 30th April 2015.

This year will see a change from our usual format in that we have decided to hold our day as part of the First4Staff Golf Day. It has been arranged by our Wolves supporting pal Jason Guy to raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer Awareness.


The day will once again be held at The Astbury in Bridgnorth (at the rear of my house which is handy), and will include a great day of golf followed by a raffle, evening meal and after dinner speaker, all of which will add to the enjoyment.

There will be C&D prizes again on the day as well as the main First4Staff prizes on offer.

The First4Staff Charity Golf Classic has been a huge success and news that it raised £4,526.30 is welcomed.

Here's the breakdown of the donations and costs:
