Free Course: Safe use of Excavator Quick Hitch Devices

The NDTG has teamed up with Caterpillar (UK) to offer free courses covering Safe use of Excavator Quick Hitch Devices.

The course is aimed at anyone involved in the safe Use of Quick Hitches on a demolition site and will give delegates an understanding of the various classifications of Quick Hitch devices, identify the risks associated with quick hitch devices, and understand how to use quick hitch devices safely in the workplace.

The subjects covered include:

• Health & Safety Legislation (L.O.L.E.R / P.U.W.E.R & CDM)
• Identify the risks associated with quick hitch devices
• Describe the operators legal duties with respect to the use of quick hitches
• Describe and apply safe working practices for the use of quick hitches
• Know when and how to conduct visual inspections of the quick hitch equipment
• Maintenance of quick hitch equipment
• Realize the importance of following the manufacturers specification for use

The dates and times on offer are:

• 31st January 9am Hemel Hempstead
• 31st January 12:30pm Hemel Hempstead
• 22nd February 9am Leicester
• 3rd April 9am Leicester

Quickhitch training, places available

Are you using quickhitch attachments on your machines? If so have the drivers been trained to use them? If not why not get them trained now?

C&D offer a half day training course, on site, on use of all types of quickhitch attachments.

You provide the drivers, machines, attachments and quickhitches, and a suitable room for the classroom section of the training, and we provide the experienced trainer. No minimum number for the course, but the maximum number is 8.

Cost £550.00 per course plus VAT

Many dates are available throughout the rest of December and January, but these courses do fill up quickly. So please get in touch if you'd like to book places or discuss the training further.

NFDC/NDTG adds another Quick Hitch Training date

Following an unprecedented level of demand for places on its Quick Hitch training course that is scheduled to take place at Resurhgam House on 28 July, the NFDC/NDTG has been forced to add another date.

Having sold out its first course in a matter of hours, the NDTG has set up a second course for 14 August 2009.

Free Quick Hitch Training

In direct response to an identified training need the NFDC have commissioned the National Demolition Training Group to provide a series of Demolition plant operative Quick Hitch training courses.

The NDTG will be providing a CITB approved ‘Quick hitch’ training course FREE of CHARGE on 30th July

The course will start at 8:30 running until noon.

The NDTG are anticipating a strong demand so get your bookings in now.
