Lee Demolition London 12-storey demolition time-lapse

C&D Consultancy customer Lee Demolition has just carried out the demolition of a 12-storey tower block in London. Luckily for us, someone had the good mind to setup a time-lapse video capture which can be seen above.

The job also made good use of European Attachments' dust suppression equipment. In particular it utilised the company's TechnoAlpin V12 dust control turbine working at up to 8-storeys high.

The time-lapse video aboce shows DDS Demolition carrying out the demolition of the 13 storey Kipling Tower.

The demolition forms part of the London Borough of Ealing's regeneration programme. According to the Ealing Council website the removal of the tower will make way for 125 new homes in the area.

Five Seasons ballroom time-lapse demolition video

Downtown Cedar Rapids is in the process of seeing some major demolition work going on. In total four structures will be raised to the ground so that a new Cedar Rapids Convention Complex can be erected.

The video above shows the first of those buildings going down. It is the Five Seasons ballroom, and Rob Merritt of Theatre Cedar Rapids had the forethought to record it producing this time-lapse video of the event.

Lets hope we get something similar for the other three demolitions they have planned.

Armac Coventry Road Bridge demolition time-lapse video

Above is a time-lapse video recorded by Armac Group of demolition work being carried out on the Coventry Road Bridge.

3 days of road re-construction condensed to 12 minute time-lapse video

We all love time-lapse videos where work carried out over days or weeks is condensed to just minutes. If only it was really like that.

This one shows the replacement of some tram tracks being carried out over a 3-day period at a cost of $1 million in San Francisco.

Due to it being a major road junction the work was carried out continuously through the nights. That's something I wish a few more of our roadworks projects would do rather than making us all sit in queues every morning.

Time-lapse video sees Parisian tower block fall

The video you see above charts the demolition of a Parisian tower block which was the old E.D.F. Building. It was created using a DSLR Pentax K 110D camera and took 3 years to complete capturing 45,000 images during that time.

What's nice about this video is it doesn't stop after the demolition is complete. Instead we get to see the new buildings constructed in its place.
