Demolition Expo 2013 happens this weekend

Demolition Expo 2013 gets under way this weekend and the NFDC has posted a reminder as to why they are so excited about it. You can read that reminder below:

We are really looking forward to this LIVE demolition weekend, you will not want to miss out.

With plenty to see and do for everyone in the family, here are just a few things to wet your appetite for next week:
  • Visit and be one of the first people to try the world's first demolition plant simulator. You can see a sneak peek in the video below.
  • An extreme off road course in a Volvo A40 and an Isuzu 4x4 - ride the banks of quarry to see if you can get the quickest time of the day.
  • The vintage plant area will bring back some memories of the good old days with the likes of an old CAT 983 and the RB22. Which will all be in full working order for Richard Comley's ball and chain challenge! Come and see the competitors.
Take a tour around the CAT 320 from the James Bond film Skyfall and speak to its owners, find out exactly why the cab is on the other side and the preparations made to get it there.

You certainly cannot miss our exhibitor’s indoor displays and outdoor live stands! Showcasing all their recent innovations and see working machines in action! This can all be seen throughout the demonstration areas during the two days.

Remember, parking is FREE, along with a shuttle bus from Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International Station, which again, is all FREE.

Join us on Saturday for all of the above and our family fun day. Entertain the whole family with activities and amusements to suit children of all ages. With an indoor play area for little ones, to outdoor inflatable slides, bouncy castles, surfing machines, trampoline bungees, zorbing, climbing walls, face painting and much much more!

Demo Expo visitor numbers continue to grow

The first UK Demo Expo jointly arranged by the IDE and the NFDC has seen ticket sales increase over the last few days as the industry realises that this is THE SHOW to go to and be seen at.

With a full seminar programme on the Friday, for which tickets are needed priced at £50.00 each (available from the NFDC) and a FREE plant show on both Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June the show is proving to be very popular.

Both days have been designed to be children friendly with rides, face painting, ice creams and competitions. Parking is FREE, the shuttle bus from Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International Station is FREE and all the rides are, you've guessed it -FREE!
