C&D customer Safedem is first UK demolition firm with Be Fair Accredition

We have to say congratulations to Safedem for managing to become the first demolition company in the UK to be awarded Be Fair Accredition. But what exactly does that mean?

The Be Fair Framework was created by the CITB, which is committed to promoting Equality and Diversity within the industry. The framework is an industry specific standard which provides a structure for employers to address fairness, inclusion and respect within their organisation. Benefits include:

New Equal Opportunity & Diversity Course Sells out in record time

Last week we launched our new Equal Opportunities course to prepare companies for the fact that this subject will appear in all local authority PQQs from July 2012 and we are pleased to announce that the initial course of 10 spaces has SOLD OUT.

Equal Opportunity and Diversity training course

You may have noticed that an increasing number of clients are now looking for evidence of Equal Opportunity and Diversity practice within companies and are asking for evidence of training in PreQual Questionnaires.

Having been approached by several of our regular customers with enquiries regarding this, we are now able to offer a one day training course aimed at supervisors and managers.

Learning Outcomes:

1. To explore how beliefs attitudes and behaviour drive and influence behaviour
2. To gain an increased awareness of issues around equality and diversity
3. To examine the principals of good practice around equality and diversity
4. To gain an understanding of their duties in relation to current and forthcoming UK equality legislation
5. To look at the role and responsibility of supervisors and managers in promoting good practice
