New dates have been added for the Fire Marshall and Fire Safety Manager courses. Both courses take place on the same day starting with Fire Marshall that is a half day course up to lunch and then the afternoon course added to the Fire Marshall course takes the candidate up to Fire Safety Manager level.

C&D announce new Fire Marshall and Fire Safety Manager training dates for 2012

Introduction
This course is designed as an introduction to fire safety for all employees so as to ensure they are familiar with the fire precautions and the action taken in the event of a fire in their workplace.
Aims
Upon completion, employees will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the points below. All the employees who have never attended fire safety course, staff on appointment as part of the induction process and temporary staff or contractors should attend this course.
The Course includes:
* The theory of fire.
* The action to take on discovering a fire.
* How to raise the alarm and knowledge of the fire procedure
* The action to be taken on hearing the alarm
* The importance of knowing escape routes, including those not in regular use
* How to open different escape doors
* The importance of keeping fire doors closed
* The likely sources of heats and fuels
* Recognition of fire extinguishers and their uses and the hazards some may pose
* What not to do in the event of a fire
* How to spot potential fire hazards
Delegates will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.
